Here is a comprehensive guide to self-care for 16-year-olds, from the physical to the emotional and everything in between.

Get Enough Sleep

Sleep is vital for overall health and well-being. Studies show that teenagers need between 8-10 hours of sleep per night, yet many fall short of this target. Help your teenager prioritize sleep by setting a consistent bedtime, creating a calming sleep environment, and limiting screen time before bed. Encourage them to avoid caffeine and sugary drinks in the evening and to establish a relaxing bedtime routine, such as reading or meditating.
